about
I wrote this song with a lot of imagery in mind, so it's a combination of things from my life and things from movies and such (mostly Moulin Rouge and Phantom of the Opera). It's kind of like how I describe why I'm sad most of the time: it's about nothing and everything.
lyrics
His eyes were so empty
You think you're insane
They snuck up behind him
and the love was just drained
You feel all the colors
escape from your name
and after that night
You were never the same
The books, all their pages
Get lost in your words
and after awhile
you hope it will hurt
You peer through your window
as night becomes day
You fought every minute
and blank disarray
the neckline had cut you
the blood on your face
the red felt so lucky
inside of that case
you struggled to hear them
all screaming your name
the shivers attacked
In your coat
on that stage
the white fabric glistened
the crowd took their place
alone it was haunting
all eyes
not the face
I swear every song
that I write's about you
the masks ran away
where nothing is true
